My Story
Some of my best memories growing up were in the kitchen with my mom. She was an amazing cake decorator and always made my sister and me the most incredible birthday cakes! I would watch her for hours as she decorated them to look like masterpieces.
Through the years, I've made several birthday cakes for my own boys but found that my passion was making Christmas cookies and treats. A few years back, I decided my boys and I should try our hands at making "fancy Christmas cookies". You know the ones - cut-out sugar cookies with the smooth frosting that looks flawless. I'll admit our first couple of attempts were complete failures. They were not close to smooth or flawless like the inspiration pictures showed.
With sheer determination and more hours and cookies than I can count, I can confidently say that not only can I now decorate cookies with that beautiful flawless finish, but they also taste amazing. The best part is I now get to make them all year long - not just at Christmas.
